Nurturing, hands-on care every step of the way
Mel Reed is one of those people who makes a practice feel like home. Her quiet competence and genuine care for patients have made her an integral part of the Maple Leaf team, and her positive presence is felt throughout the practice each day.
She works closely alongside the clinical team across a wide range of appointments, always ensuring preparations are thorough, efficient and centred on the patient's comfort.
Putting anxious patients at ease
Mel has a particular talent for supporting patients who may feel uncertain or anxious. She brings a natural calm to the surgery, checking in with patients throughout their appointment and making sure they never feel rushed or unsure of what is happening.
Her ability to build rapport quickly means patients often leave feeling far more relaxed than they expected to, and many ask specifically to be with Mel at their next visit.
Trusted, experienced and consistently excellent
With years of experience in dental nursing, Mel is a steady and reliable presence in the clinical team. She takes her professional responsibilities seriously and is committed to maintaining the high standards of care that Maple Leaf is known for.
Her colleagues trust her judgement, value her experience and appreciate the consistent, positive energy she brings to work every day.
"I love being part of a team that really looks after its patients. Every person who comes in deserves to feel valued and cared for, and that's what we do here."
