Composite bonding
Composite Bonding is an advanced cosmetic technique where composite resin is moulded onto your teeth, giving the appearance of a whiter and more perfect smile. It is a cosmetic solution to misshapen, chipped, spaced and stained teeth and fillings. The result is similar to porcelain veneers, but there is no preparation of the teeth, so it is more conservative. Teeth can be made beautiful in just one treatment appointment, and the result lasts up to 6-8 years. Many mature patients have Composite Bonding after they have had their teeth straightened with braces, to restore chipped or worn teeth, making their smile as amazing as possible. Composite bonding can be used to treat the following cosmetic issues:
- Small gaps between teeth
- Chipped or cracked teeth
- Worn or mottled enamel
- Minor alignment corrections
Dental Veneers
Dental veneers can be made of either porcelain or composite and are bonded over the Labial surface of the tooth to correct a number of cosmetic issues..
Porcelain veneers have excellent stain resistance and require very little maintenance.
Unlike cosmetic crowns, which can require the removal of large amounts of healthy enamel, veneers require only minimal tooth preparation.
White Fillings
White or tooth-coloured fillings are available for both front and back teeth. They are made of a composite resin and bonded to the teeth in a technique sensitive process, the most recent materials mimic the natural teeth’s translucency and shade, they really are life like. White fillings can replace old metal amalgam fillings, and can also offer support to a weakened tooth.
White fillings can be placed in the dental surgery, however some situations require a stronger white filling to be fabricated at a dental laboratory. This indirect approach would take more than one visit to the surgery, these fillings are often referred to as an onlay or inlay, and can be made from composite resin or porcelain.
Cosmetic Crowns
Unlike dental veneers which only cover the front facing labial Surface of the tooth, cosmetic crowns encase the entire tooth. Because crowns require the removal of large amounts of enamel, they are usually used only where the strength of the original tooth has been compromised. Cosmetic crowns can also be attached to implants to replace missing teeth. Modern cosmetic crowns offer excellent aesthetics and are often indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Replacement trays are also available from £50. We prefer customers to pick up their trays in person from our surgery in Harrogate, this allows us to ensure a perfect fit and make any required adjustments at the time of collection.
Invisalign
Invisalign uses a series of clear orthodontic aligners to gently straighten your teeth. Accurate models and photos of your teeth are scanned into the computor and a powerful program creates your ideal smile. A series of clear almost invisable gumshields are created to gently straighten your teeth, each aligner is worn for up to 20 hours per day for 1-2 weeks. The aligners are removable for cleaning and eating.
Treatment can take from 6-18 months depending on the degree of tooth movement required.
